Because a skylight is an opening in the roof, the flashing and underlayment around it matter as much as the unit itself. Can you fix a leaking skylight without replacing it?
Often, yes. Many skylight leaks come from flashing or seals that can be repaired. If the unit itself is damaged or worn out, we will tell you honestly and quote a replacement.
Should I replace my skylights when I replace my roof?
Older skylights are often best replaced or reflashed during a roof replacement, so the skylight and the new roof are flashed together. We will look at them during your estimate.
